Ruka means 'hand'.
I started knitting to slow down.
Knitting by hand is an unhurried endeavour. You can't automate it. Or fake it. Or rush your way through it. It takes time, planning and patience, which in today's world feels in short supply.
Making physical things with my hands felt like a necessary escape from the digital fray.
Ruka is where I channel my creativity. It's a space for experimentation and play. Where I delight in the process, instead of hustling toward the end result.
Where I try to stress less and savour more.
Whether you're a knitter, or a supporter of the slow movement, thank you for being here.
And slowing down with me.
